Regarding the END3992 Industrial Engineering Design 1 course, please find the following information:
The END3992 Industrial Engineering Design 1 course, which provides interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities, will be conducted in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Department Project 1 course (Groups 1-25) and the Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Project course (Group 15)
The instructor for the group you have selected for the END3992 Industrial Engineering Design 1 course will contact you to schedule an informative session. During this session, the scope of the work will be determined, groups will be formed, and contact information of students from other departments will be shared.
For groups that have matched with the Mechanical Engineering Department, a "Project Management" training will be provided as part of this course. This training will be conducted via an online meeting for all groups on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Participation in the meeting appropriate for the language of instruction of your registered course is mandatory.
For Turkish Groups:
Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 09:00-10:00
For English Groups:
Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10:00-11:00
Following this session, your project will continue throughout the semester according to the schedule and content explained by your advisor instructor. In the 9th week of the semester, interim presentations will be held with the participation of the advisor instructor, external advisor instructors, and relevant department members according to the schedule determined by the advisor instructor and external advisor instructors.
Reports prepared within the scope of the Industrial Engineering Design 1 project should be in accordance with the Design 1 project writing guide provided in the link.
Presentations for Design 1 will be held in accordance with the schedule determined by the advisor instructor and external advisor instructors within the last week of the semester of the academic calendar.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Students enrolled in the END3992 Industrial Engineering Design 1 course under Prof. Dr. Serkan Altuntaş (Group 15) are required to attend classes on the days, times, and in the classrooms specified in our undergraduate course schedule, along with Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering students.
